New Camera

We recently bought a new digital camera and I love it! Our old one was nice, but this new one has so many more mega pixels. Gotta love technology. It also has different color options, so I can feel extra artistic by taking b&w or sepia photos like the pros.

I think this is supposed to be Vincent's new smile. He started working on it over the weekend.

Daddy Feeds Baby

Happy 6 Months Vincent!!

We've got a happy healthy 6 month old baby! Vincent weighed in today at 16 pounds 2 ounces & is "standing" at 26.25" tall.
We're so proud to have made it through our first 6 months as parents.

It's Official

Happy Father's Day! You only get your first Father's Day once in your life. To celebrate this special day, we have officially started Vincent on table foods. We opted to bypass rice cereal and started him off with avocado (mixed with breastmilk). He LOVED it!
Side note: we have been cheating a little up until now. This morning he got to try tiny tastes of sticky rice & Asian style bbq pork. Tomorrow we'll strictly do just avocado.

Madison Park

Vincent and I met up with Robert & Chris at Madison Park this week. It turned out to be such a nice day. We put the boys on the baby swings. Robert seemed to enjoy it but Vincent didn't know quite what to think of it.

Baby Fresh

A Friday evening in Fremont for a 5K race, landed us in Baja Fresh, where David and I saw another family put their slightly larger baby in a highchair, which sparked our interest! We decided to try it out for ourselves. I'd have to say, Vincent was too cute! And, although we have not officially started him on solid food, we did cheat and let him try some guacamole and "nacho cheese sauce" (yeah, I know, cheese sauce??). Loved the guacamole, but the tiny bit of spice in the cheese made him sort of mad, which, we also thought was too cute. Poor kid.

Farm Party

We spent the afternoon out on Vashon Island yesterday for a friend's birthday party. It was a potluck and cookout at the "Cookhouse." We had intended on making ceviche, but ran out of time, and picked up Top Pot Doughnuts instead. Hey, I don't feel too bad, most people brought wine!
It was a day of firsts for Vincent: first ferryboat ride (first time on any boat!), first time on a farm, first time seeing cows, ducks, sheep, and first time tasting a strawberry.

On A Roll

This is Vincent back in January, right around a month or so old. Take a look at him now, in the same outfit. We did a comparison a couple months ago, but here we go again. He had all this extra material in this onsie, and now it's barely fitting!

And, sitting up better...

And, we officially have a rolling baby! Well, at least, today, we do. The way it goes with babies, it can be here today, gone tomorrow. I filmed a video clip of it to send to his dad at work, but I've yet to figure out how to post the video. Oh well, I'm sure it's easy, but I'm blogging and trying to make dinner at the same time.

Speaking of, tonight's dinner is QFC roasted chicken (bbq flavored), baked sweet potatoes, and some sort of sweet whole wheat & oats baguette. Yes, I cheated with the chicken.
